I heard about this and didnt believe it to be true. This app is a lifesaver. Definitely one of my favorite and I cant believe its free.

Clearly all these reviews are fabricated and seem to be written by the same person. Theyre all written the same and theyre all perfect reviews. This app did not translate anything for me even once correctly. Do not waste your time on it and stick with inputting the words yourself. Its not that difficult to type out a word anyway. Save your time and iPhone space. This app is garbage

Horrible. Non stop pop ups telling me to buy full version when Im trying to take a picture so I couldnt even take a picture at all. Dont bother downloading until fixed.

Downloaded this app to help me while Im in Japan. This app can only translate horizontal lines of text but kanji are often written in vertical sentences. Reading individual characters out of context makes nonsense out of the sentence.

The camera wont recognize any words...

Its telling me what characters mean, but I dont think theyre the right characters. The characters they show is different than the actual characters Im showing the camera.

If it had pinyin for Chinese I would probably buy the paid version and give it 5 stars. PLEASE! That would be so nice! (I didnt check if it had kana pronunciation for Japanese, but it probably doesnt.) Also many dictionaries can automatically recognize the differences between east asian characters such as simplified and traditional Chinese and Japanese. This one doesnt seem to. Also read 字 as 宇 on my first use . Otherwise its kinda neat, and has real potential to be genuinely useful.

I can not say how much I love this idea. When I moved to japan 2 1/2 years ago I was saying they should come up with an app like this. AND NOW ITS HERE...
