Grab this app, along with Google Translate (voice translate) for a true suite in translation. Stop by China Mobile with your unlocked mobile phone and passport to get a cheap 65RMB SIM card. (iPhone 4 and 4S users will need to cut down the card to fit the micro slot). 100RMB will get you a 1.2Gb data plan, perfect for this app, Maps, and Google Translate. I can read menus and pretty much anything I need. Tip: step back a little with the iPhone 4S, itll read more quickly.

This is my review for ALL THREE APPS BY IntSig CamCard CamScanner (PRO & +) AND CamDictionary These guys make THE FINEST in SCANNING apps (CamScanner Pro -best OCR as a "bonus"-as well as CamDictionary for translating foreign languages) CamCard - The Best got INCREDIBLY Better! I cannot believe how great they enhanced the already finest Card Recognizer AND Handler AND Contact Manager INCLUDING FREE SYNC/CLOUD BACKUP & RESTORE I say "free" as Ive had this app since Day 1 and Ive watched as the other "Top" business card scanner apps RAISE THEIR PRICES WITH EACH MAJOR UPDATE! And I will tell u guys right now I admit I Am A Huge SCANNER APP JUNKIE so I have bought ALL the top scanners/business card scanners EVEN THOUGH I always loved CamCard and CamScanner (and even CamDictionary though I never leave California. LOL although immigrants are definitely making an awesome melting pot of us :) So I consider myself a Scanner expert. I really do. IntSig makes by far the greatest scanning apps. Better than Genuis Scan World Scan Scanner Pro etc. the rest are unmentionable although WorldCard is becoming less relevant daily. Plus they raise the prices on their products for unjustified reasons completely. But I would pay good money for the best. They dont bring the best CamCard and CamScanner have ALWAYS been #1. They never fluctuated and another scanning app took the lead for an update or two—NEVER. Im glad I bought the others #1 to prove FOR SURE they are the best on an iPhone or any smartphone since iPhone has best camera plus all their features that never end PLUS are intuitive and make common sense AND #2 so I can INFORM POTENTIAL BUYERS with the TRUTH—you can waste your money on other apps. Really u can. But Ive been there and the Grass Aint Greener These guys are so bright about their ideas AND HOW THEY IMPLEMENT THEM! And guess what? Take the little Ive said and add to it ALL NEW BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS UI ENHANCEMENTS That pale ONLY to their Scanning ability Enhancements. No other scanner besides CamScanner Pro is even accurate with OCR -AT ALL-and I kid u not , the 2nd best scanner-Scanner Pro by Readdle, a GREAT company I love-DOESNT EVEN DO OCR! And on top of that CamScanner Pro APPLIES THAT OCR to make the PDFs it creates SEARCHABLE. and is 10 out of 10. Perfect score! CamCards accuracy is SECOND TO NONE. card organization is EASILY 2nd to none. Theres nothing left to say. Get CamScanner+ INSTEAD of CamScanner PRO **IF*** u dont want OCR text recognize and search WITHIN documents. Not merely what u type in but the scanned PDFs themselves (WHICH ESSENTIALLY MAKES EVERY SCANNED DOCUMENT AUTO-TAGGED with Countless Tag-Words. Serious-WOW! But u dont know how handy the upgrade to CamScanner Pro is until u abuse it. These apps are addictive because they work beautifully and are beautiful to the eye—most importantly Im NOT EXAGGERATING... CamCard And CamScanner Pro and yes CamDictionary are truly the best by mosts true EXPERIENCE R U EXPERIENCED? PS Customer Support honestly is as good as ANY developers Ive come across. For some reason I always have ideas and they read my lengthy emails and respond FULLY. no 2 sentence response to a idea like "Ill see what I can do. It depends on demand". Thats junk. These guys honestly CARE THEY PUT PRIDE INTO THEIR PRODUCTS Twitter Facebook or email THEY MAKE THEMSELVES AT OUR SERVICE. Why would they do this if they didnt VALUE us and our thoughts and questions Everything is so intuitive-unlike WorldCard and their scammer -that you can easily see how everything works on your own too :) but theres a LOT OF WORTHY FEATURES. just right. Oh yeah. YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THEIR APPS PERFORM "BATCH SCANNING". (and btw they somehow found a way and made it even faster-and it was lightening before AND OH SO ALWAYS ACCURATE). I faced an issue not translating , but after I right an email and rate it as a bad program The team fix it and email me immediately .... Thanks for such a great App.

I was frustrated that it wont translate by using the camera scan feature couple times but now they fixed the problem. Its a very cool app and now I dont have to type the word to get the meaning. Its a great idea!

This does a good job for sentence translations. Easily recognize and translate them.

Downloaded many translation app, finally keep this one. Not only because it could get the translation wihout connecting internet, also because it could translate without typing manually. It is the best app!

Good application for foreigners!

00,99$, I will buy it, More than that I wont, Because it doesnt work well.

But I couldnt figure out how to use it in "real time" mode, and when I tried it with a photo, it translated both sentences incorrectly! It would be so cool if it actually translated accurately. :(

Before I updated the app, I loved it because I could search more than five characters a day. Now, I cannot search more than five characters a day, and I often cant control which characters I want it to look up when using the camera function and holding it up to a document with a lot of text. Very frustrating, and I will not be buying the full version.

This seems like a pretty good app, but theres no recognition for Arabic in the camera mode, which is what I needed it for. Too bad. Its a good idea.
